We grow our turf from specially selected cultivars. It is a durable turf, suitable for both domestic and commercial use. Due to the high sward density of our turf and the strong root system, it is quick to establish and easy to maintain.

We use turfgrass seed sourced fom the country's top seed merchants, such as Barenbrug, DLF Trifolium and British Seed Houses. Every cultivar is individually assessed by the STRI (Sports Turf Research Institute), details of which are published annually in performance tables. This helps us to choose the best seed available.

Net and the environment

We have made a conscious decision not to grow our turf using net.

The combination of our specialty mix of seed, the composition of the soil in our nurseries and our specialised knowledge means our turf is robust and mature enough to hold together without artificial means.

We believe turf with net can cause problems for the environment. It can be dangerous to animals and can take many years to biodegrade. Net can also damage equipment when scarifying.
